Primarily a stretching band. You will see athletes primarily using the red bands for adding resistance to stretching exercises both before, during and after workouts. Great for stretching hip flexors and IT bands. The light resistance of this band allows for controlled movements. Also ideal for resistence exercises that require light weight, such as flies and rotator cuff exercises.
Red – XX-Light – ½” wide - Resistance is 5 – 35 pounds.
Purple – X-Light – 1 1/8” wide Resistance is 25 - 80 pounds.
Green – Light – 1 ¾” wide Resistance is 50 – 120 pounds.
Blue – Medium – 2 ½” wide Resistance is 60 – 150 pounds.
Orange – Heavy – 3 ¼” wide Resistance is 70 to 175 pounds.
Black – X-Heavy – 4” wide Resistance is 80 to 200 pounds.
